A ghostwriter is someone who takes the thoughts, ideas and experiences of a person and puts them into words. An executive ghostwriter offers this service to people in the business world.

Famous Writers and their Ghostwriters

Often, when we think of a ghostwriter, we think of a person who writes the autobiography of a famous person. Alan Greenspan and Ronald Reagan both hired ghostwriters to complete their autobiographies. And while football stars and pop singers may have led an interesting life, few of them have the time and the writing skills to sit down and write an entire book. They hire a ghostwriter in order to create an autobiography that tells their story as they wish it to be told.

Occassionally, novelists use ghostwriters in order to keep up with the demand for new books in a popular series, or publishers hire ghostwriters to complete novels started by an author before their death. The publisher of the author Ian Fleming wanted to continue to publish James Bond books after the author’s death and so hired other writers to complete his manuscripts.

Even famous business leaders have ghostwriters to share their advice and wisdom. Jack Welsh, Stephen R Covey (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) and Richard Branson all acknowledged other writers. It makes sense. Writing a book takes a long time and that’s something that many successful business leaders simply don’t have.

There’s no reason to be ashamed of hiring a ghostwriter. It’s not fraud or fake. No one really expects Barack Obama or Angela Merkel to write all their own speeches. It’s totally normal and expected to have a team of speechwriters to assist politicians. And it’s becoming more and more common for business leaders to hire an Executive Ghostwriter to put their message into words. Not just when they are writing books.

Your Passion – My Words

Creativity isn’t a like a water tap, that you can turn on and off at will. To write an compelling and engaging text, you need time. But that’s something you don’t have in your busy life.

You have passion and insight into a specific topic or industry, which you’d like to share. But while you are eloquent and convincing in your native German language, you struggle to find the right words, the right tone in English. That’s where I come in.

As your Executive Ghostwriter, I take your passion and put it into words. Whether you wish to share on LinkedIn, on your company website or as a guest article for a blog or news outlet, your thoughts are gathered and presented to the world.
