If your company doesn’t have a standard out-of-office email in English, then you may have to write your own. I know how hard it is to write these seemingly simple little texts in a foreign language. It’s only a couple of sentences, but you want to make sure you use correct grammar and don’t make a spelling mistake. Here are a few options that you can just copy and paste – don’t forget to add the right dates!
Remember that Brits and Americans use different date format – in the UK, we use the same format as in Germany DD/MM/YYYY. In the USA, they switch day and month around to make MM/DD/YYYY. If you want to be certain that your understand exactly when you will be back, write out the month as a word, e.g. March 5, 2020.
